Food Security Cluster Coordinators Training (English)

The Global Food Security Cluster is pleased to announce that the next Food Security Cluster Coordinators Training will take place from 25 to 28 March 2019 in Beirut, Lebanon.
The training targets humanitarian experts who are interested and willing to be deployed as Food Security Cluster Coordinators. The learning process ensures to obtain a good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of country food security clusters and a clear overview of the role for the coordinator, in particular in response to IASC Level 3 emergency. The training is composed of one-day classroom experience and three days of simulation.
Please note that potential candidates need to fulfill the following minimum criteria:
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in humanitarian settings, including in food security;
-A minimum of 2 years of professional experience outside of one’s home country;
-A Master’s Degree in Economics, Food Security, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health/Nutrition, Geography, Agriculture, or other related fields;
-Fluency in English and one additional UN language (French, Spanish, Chinese or Russian);
-Being available for deployment with the Food Security Cluster in the 12 months following the training.
