Nutritional Surveillance System, Food Security and Early Warning of the Democratic Republic of Congo (SNSAP) Bulletin No. 10

The SNSAP is based on monitoring indicators of nutrition and food security in 175 sites in the provinces of Kasai Occidental, Kasai Oriental, Katanga and Bas Congo. Information was collected through routine household surveys during the quarter from November 2012 to January 2013. The SNSAP found 9% (16) of the sights are alert, 47% (82) should be followed closely, and 44% (77) of the sights are under control. Compared to the previous quarter there is no major change in the situation in terms of the proportion of sights on alert, for monitoring and under control.
